Cheerful, scatter-minded and sleepy. Nina has a tendency to act before thinking, more often creating more trouble than she solves. Beyond this, she naturally means well, and her heart is always in the right place. This being the case, she often needs to rely on her close friends to help her out when things get rough. She is a very tall girl, who tends to only show her outgoing self to those she trusts.

Tall, strong, and some kind of asian, apparently. Desipte his physique, Nick tends to wear baggy clothes, to help him stand out a little less. Calm and composed, he doesn't let a situation get the better of him. He will, however, leap to a friend's aid without a second thought... without regard to the consequences he may face. Just a loyal teenage martyr, for what it's worth.

Assertive, cynical, analytical. Jess does not like being lied to and is not afraid to question the untrusted. She is the perfect, if unwilling, voice of reason for Nina. She enjoys teasing her friends and getting spontaneous haircuts. Jess does very well in school and is, in fact, a closet nerd; including, but not limited to, watching anime, whodunits, and wearing colored contact lenses (coloured, if you will).

A lovable oaf somehow blessed with charisma, yet cursed with chronically bad luck. Jim recently moved to Shenvale with his father, whom he sadly tolerates at best. He constantly has to move away, due to his father's job, and has had to say goodbye to countless friends during his life. Realizing the inevitable outcome, he has to choose between staying alone or making friends as quickly as possible and to maximize the time he has with them. Any guess which one he prefers?

Passive, gentle... clearly not a human. His skin is etched with odd markings, his ears are long and fuzzy, and his right eye is flat silver. His memory is hazy at best, so the name "Leon" was given to him by Nina, who is absolutely fascinated with him. He tends to keep quiet until addressed and is understandably uncomfortable with being out in public.

Selfish and uncaring. Azerian is the involuntary, "actual" personality underneath Leon, barring the right provocation. He is something of a survival instinct, personified. While he may understand a language spoken to him, he will only speak the one native to himself.

Another of Azerian's kind, Reen is one more of Shenvale's new guests. She much prefers being left alone and would rather avoid any personal interaction, than risk drawing simple attention towards herself. She does seem to noticeably prefer Azerian's company over anyone else's. On a more endearing note, she loves peanut butter and has quite the sweet tooth.

Jim's father, after whom he was named, Dr. James Rayven, is a tremendous and enigmatic man. He is a single father, who loves his son. He is, however, extremely busy with a demanding job, which requires more attention than a single parent can offer. He views things from more of a calculated point of view, and unknowingly tends to leave emotions out of the big picture. He is the kind of person that understands the love of roses, but just doesn't take the time to stop and smell them.

Standing at over seven feet tall (that's over 213 cm), only those with a death wish would dare to oppose this tower of a man. Beyond his inhuman strength and apparently bullet-proof exterior, Ivan has the glaring physical flaw of being almost completely unable to breathe on his own, and is heavily dependent on a respirator. He normally shows a surprising level of restraint and intelligence unfitting a man of his stature, but when angered can resort to a terrifying display of berserker-like rage.
